Title: Spares Procurement
Hourly Rate: £8.50 - £11.50 per hour
Salary: £18 - £23k upon permanent appointment
Benefits: 26 days holiday contributory pension, employee reward scheme, excellent training and career prospects. (Upon permanent appointment)
Location: Old Trafford, Trafford, Manchester
This role is initially a 3-4 month temporary position with a possible view to go permanent after this time.
Key Accountabilities:
*Ensure appropriate data is gathered and validated within defined timescales
*Raising purchase authorisations for small spares and progressing through Central Purchasing Group following authorisation.
*Sourcing new and used units for support of field following authorisation.
*Monitoring purchase costs ensuring correct cost codes and cost centres are allocated.
*Production of weekly and monthly statistics including movement and financial statistics.
*Review suppliers and costs for competitiveness. Recommend alternatives where appropriate.
*Work with Central Purchasing Group to reduce overall purchasing requests and improve inventory usage.
*Assist in Central Inventory process control.
*Progressing of external orders ensuring timely deliveries are achieved.
*Identify small spares requirements and recommend suppliers for new products and products identified by the Bid Process.
Relevant Experience
*Experience of working within similar procurement environment
*Good communicator, working with other teams
*Familiar with creating and updating IT systems (specific training will be provided)
*Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
*Good team worker
*Flexible working hours
