Software Design Engineer

As a result of continued growth design, this developer and manufacturer of motion systems for use in defence and aerospace applications now require a Software Engineer You must be qualified to degree level or above in a software related discipline. You must also have experience in developing Embedded software applications using MISRA C and ARM Assembler languages.

Reporting to the Software Team Leader and working closely in a team with hardware and software engineers, you will be involved in and will be expected to have experience of all aspects of the software development life cycle including:
- Software Design
- Coding
- Peer Review
- Target Hardware Testing
- Configuration Control Experience of DOORs in this respect would be an advantage as would experience of developing low level requirements.

Any experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
- ARM 7 or above
- DO-178B or other Safety Critical Systems
- UML - Peripheral Busses I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet and Serial
- Basic Electronic Skills Oscilloscope, Bus Analysers, Millimetres
- Antistatic Awareness Candidates for this role must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance.
