Are you an experienced Area Sales Manager/Regional Sales Manager with experience within the Office Furniture industry? Have you had experience selling both into commercial and public sector markets? If so we are actively recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the north of England Scotland on behalf of our multi-national client.

As Regional Sales Manager, working from home, you will manage 130 existing accounts worth circa £1,000,000 and develop new business also. Clients will include: Local authorities, Construction companies, Furniture specifiers, Facilities management, Purchasing organisations, Catalogue companies, Furniture dealers and Schools.

To be successful in the role candidates will need to gain a full understanding of the BSF/PCP/Pathfinder programmes as well as other PFI initiatives and devolved capital projects. The ability to foster strong relationships with customers and network with other key industry players is essential. The majority of the work involves supporting and developing the existing customer base to secure new project work and orders.

The role needs a disciplined approach to territory management due to the size of the area to cover with overnight stays of 3-4 nights per month.

There is a requirement to identify and secure new specifiers and dealers however the split between existing and new business is approximately 90/10.
